Doubling Our Impact: Pichuberry Partnering with the Jason Heigl Foundation for a Second Year!
We have some heart-bursting, extraordinary news to share with our entire Pichuberry family!
For the second year in a row, the Jason Heigl Foundation has chosen to partner with us as our Partner in Compassion.
Last year, the Jason Heigl Foundation made history for us by becoming our very first grantor. Through their Namaste Initiative, they funded 200 fully sponsored sterilizations in Peru. Because of their generosity, we were able to hold four dedicated Namaste Days across local communities, serving over 50 animals during each campaign and ultimately completing 218 life-changing surgeries.
Today, we are overjoyed to share that they are continuing to stand beside us — and doubling their support!
400 Animals. $10,000 Grant. Endless Hope.
Because sterilization funding from international organizations is rare and highly competitive, we knew applying again for double the support was an ambitious dream. But knowing the immense need in the communities we serve, we took a leap of faith.
The Jason Heigl Foundation answered with overwhelming trust and generosity, approving a $10,000 grant to sponsor 400 sterilizations — 200 dogs and 200 cats!
This continued partnership is so much more than a financial grant to us. It is a profound vote of confidence. It is a shared belief in humane population control, transparency, and the power of grassroots animal rescue in Peru.
The Road to 2,500 Sterilizations in 2026
Our target of completing 2,500 sterilizations this year brings tough days, long journeys, and logistical hurdles.
But having 400 surgeries fully funded by our friends at the Jason Heigl Foundation gives our entire team a massive wave of momentum and hope.
Every single operation performed during our upcoming Namaste Days will prevent future generations of suffering, reduce street animal populations humanely, and support low-income families who want the best care for their pets.
