A Day That Changes Lives

La Huellatón is our annual community fundraising event created to protect, defend, and care for vulnerable animals across the Andes of Peru.

It is a celebration of compassion.
A movement powered by community.
A reminder to every rescued animal that they are not alone.

COMMUNITY

Bringing people together for animals in need.

EDUCATION

Teaching kindness, responsibility and respect.

RESCUE

Supporting sterilization, adoption and animal welfare.

HOPE

Building a kinder future for animals in Peru.

La Huellatón was intentionally created during school and university break so more families, students, and young people could participate. Because we believe lasting change begins with education, kindness, and community involvement.

Throughout the event, the community comes together through:

Live music & performances
Dry food donation drives
School dance competitions
Educational booths with veterinarians & volunteers
Polladas & food booths
Raffles & tombolas
Pet adoption areas
Awareness and participation activities
We want children to proudly say:

“Yo también soy parte de La Huellatón.”
“Yo también estoy aquí por ellos.”

OUR JOURNEY

🌿
2024

The First Huellatón

Our first Huellatón took place shortly after Pichuberry officially began in 2023.

It was small.
We were still learning.

But despite its size, 11 rescued pets found loving homes.

A Growing Community

In 2025, La Huellatón grew tremendously thanks to months of dedication from volunteers, sponsors, performers, and the community.

26 sacks of dry food collected
Support for approximately 50 spay & neuter surgeries
Donations supporting senior dogs living in Pancan with Señor Pedro

Most importantly, we learned how to make the event stronger, more interactive, and more impactful for the future.

Every raffle ticket.  •  Every shared post.  •  Every pollada.  •  Every sack of food.  •  Every act of love.

It all adds up to hope.

GROWING BEYOND BORDERS

Thanks to the support of the Marchig Animal Welfare Trust and the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, Pichuberry is reaching more vulnerable animals than ever before.

But La Huellatón represents something equally powerful:

A COMMUNITY-POWERED GRANT OF LOVE.
